Microsoft says the new build significantly cuts the time it takes to open large folders and archives.

Windows 11, version 25H2 became available on September 30, 2025. Built on the same servicing branch as 24H2, it installs as a small enablement package and resets the support clock, with 24 months for consumer editions and 36 for Enterprise and Education.
